I am posting a letter I just received from Sandy.....She says it better than I could......


Hi
Pam is at rim now she is in room 422 bed 2. semi private room Jonathan
said she seemed a little confused today. I asked if she is showing the
crashing signs and he said no it was not like that. She's a little slow
today but the doctors are watching her and Bob said he will be for
sure. The doctor asked her what her name was and she said it used to be Pam Hauser!  They asked, well who are you today and she said i'm not sure.
but on the other hand the nurse asked how she wanted to lay down to be
comfortable and she said in my own bed. Jon said she has been up ,went to
the bathroom and eating so she isn't  lathargic like when she crashes.
Actually nobody really knows how she was the day after the last shunt
because she was infected and non responsive. Jonathan assured me that
Bob will be right on if somethings not right with her. He's  been really good
at speaking up when somethings not right. Thank you Bob!!!   So
they say people that go to rim only are there for a month or a little
more.   She has 4   forty five minute therapy sessions a day and they
won't allow her to miss any of them. If she has family there,  oh well shes
going to therapy which is good.  Start at nine and done around four
everyday.  Visiting hours are from 11:30 to 8:30. He said the best time to
visit would be after 5:00 or she may not be there.  They also told Pam
that if she wasn't at therapy that she would be up, not in bed during the
day..    Well,can't think of anything thing else right now so will let you go.          Love Sandy

Dalene, thanks for relaying Sandy's message. Hope this will be a good move for Pam. We are all pushing for her and wishing only the best.
